I'm on a list at a UK AD [though never dealt with before] and the Panerai Boutique both say you should get one , might be just bull though but would bring a smile to my face if i got a call

OK what is it you just don't like about this watch!!
Its got a cool unique look, IMHO worth the ££$$ well that's for the individual to judge basic hand wound movement, nothing fancy or cutting edge, hours/minutes[what no moving seconds hand, no date plain basic dial although a unique font layout for a 21st century timepiece, guess you ether get or you done [eh!! darren]

Stop it! I've gone all funny inside.
That strap looks as if it was made from a couple of cows, there's so much leather. |

Well guess I'm not going to get one now! even after many promises as it was a limited edition, maybe it wasn't such a bad thing. Is Panerai merely style [ a purely personal perspective] over form! the latest in house movements have merits but the basics movements in comparison to other marques guess style plays a strong hand in the value factor to individuals [ the value of anything is how it makes you feel ]

I have strong feelings about Panerai. I had a PAM93 and while it was a stylish watch, I always had it in the back of my mind that it was an old style brought up to date by a company that had purchased the brand name. I must admit, their marketing strategy has been brilliant and their customer relations are good. However, I still regard modern Panerais as usurpers to the original company made watches. This is just a personal view and probably not shared by many others. _________________ I'd feel lost without my GPS |

I'd like to dip my toe! but its the local Panerai AD's that make me think stuff it!! my Rolex AD doesn't hold the brand.......and its hard work breaking in a new AD but my thoughts are should you need too! should any AD be as righteous as to demand so much and give so little [Panerai] my Rolex local independant AD gave me a discount from the off on a SD, great customer service and delivered a SS Daytona within 6 weeks!!!!!!! |
