I never knew a relationship existed between Walt Whitman and my home town of Bolton. However I've just read an article from the local newspaper which has enlightened me.

Interesting...... 
Whitman was one of the first generation to be born in the fledgling USA. I'm surprised to see a Whitman day anyplace outside his native New York...
Well, perhaps someday we'll have an Uncle AJ day over here......

Nothing ever looks as good in our life until somebody else looks back at it, re-interprets and re-invents it, and then decides how wonderful it, and we, were...
