I love the GMT and have really enjoyed the black/red model for many years.
But I don't wear a Coke.... Coke is something you snort up your nose... or the color of a "Coke" can is red and white..
So what's the deal with all these new GMT owners....Why do we suddenly have to have all our watches being referred to as a soft drink or somebodies favorite recreational drug..
Am I swimming upstream
Well, anyway...ask me if I'm wearing a fake, I don't care...I'll set you straight..
Just don't tell me I'm wearing a "Coke". I might show you just how ballistic a (almost) senior citizen can get...
(maybe this should have been in the rant section)
Here's a pretty picture now that my blood pressure meds have kicked in....
....

Well, sure....The blue/red has been affectionately known as the "pepsi" for decades.
But the black and the black/maroon (red) have been around almost as long.. and nobody used to refer to them as soda pops.
Everybody looking for a "Coke" GMT is something new that I'm just not ready for..
I mean ..why ??? The colors are really more of a Dr. Pepper hue.....so what's with the "Coke" tag....
I guess I'm just an old curmudgeon....I don't like the term "Rollie" either....Hey...that's a whole new rant..

The Jubilee bracelet makes a great combi IMHO. I'd be more offended if somebody referred to my new Yachmaster as a Yammy or Platty with regard tags though |

Awww Larry, I think the Coke drinkers were just jealous because the Pepsi people had a watch named after their drink.
Of all the Rolex GMT's, new and old, the black and red is by far my favorite. That Jubilee bracelet on yours is just an awesome combination.
I hope to own the black/red some day and I was in my AD just last Friday discussing the GMT's. He mentioned that they occasionally take used Rolexes as trades and they like to have them out the door ASAP. I asked that he keep me in mind on whatever comes in and especially the older GMT's. I'm not holding my breath but, hey. you never know. _________________ Regards,

A Rollie...? Isn't that the guy who hangs out with Biff?
A Yammy or Platty...? Anyone who uses those terms wears pajamas with feet and has to sleep with stuffed animals! _________________ Regards,

Awww AJ, stuffed animals??? Tell me it isn't so.
Surely you don't also refer to your GMT as a "Gimmy." _________________ Regards,

As the taxidermist said to the actress, "Pass me a stuffed animal."
Strange thing is, I never name any inanimate object. _________________ I'd feel lost without my GPS |
