I used to use Norton but got fed up with having to pay out every year and having to upgrade frequently. Now I use Avast Home Edition, it's free and has suited my purpose adequately. I have it set up on my PC and on my Mac. It's highly recommended and as it's free, what can you lose. Get a free copy from http://www.avast.com _________________ I'd feel lost without my GPS |

I'm still using Norton. A long time ago I switched to MacAfee (sp?) but didn't care for it and went back to Norton. I've had friends recommend different anti-virus programs but I guess I'm too stubborn to switch.
Yes, Norton does cost but I just look at it as the price for playing on the internet. _________________ Regards,

I once switched to McAfee as well. At the time it just wasn't compatible with my system so I returned it. _________________ I'd feel lost without my GPS |

I bought a book about Macs and it stated that they are just as vunerable, it's just no one has bothered to write a virus as yet. It did go on to say that Macs are beginning to be affected by viruses and the more popular they get, the more viruses will appear. _________________ I'd feel lost without my GPS |

I use Norton as well. I did switch to McAfee once and just wasn't happy with it.
It does slow down your system down a bit and I'm not crazy about having to buy new versions of it every year.
I'm not sure if it's true or not but I've heard that the free ones are more susceptible to get a virus _________________ Let's rock this place :-)
