So, I mentioned that I was on a SS Daytona list.... I'm not sure why, maybe I'm just caught up in the hype.....after all, I don't really need another watch....but, you know, I can't help myself..it's a sickness. It took some thought process to justify the $7900 for a SS model that it would have cost before the price hike....but it is a great movement, and a one of a kind purchase... and, It's really not the money.......I've got it, it's more of the "why am I spending this kind of money on a hobby".   But, I have a friend with more money in a few pages of stamps than I have in watches....and he can't mail a letter with them.... at least I can tell time.. But now at $9200 bucks.........OK.......I'll spend it...   What drives us.....I mean really...........Why do we do it.... Everybody has a different source for them, but ours happens to be watches. You wake up every day, you put it on and it brings a smile to your face.
