woohoo!!! it's arrived not more than minutes ago all crisp fresh not a finger mark,[do these guys pack them at the factory wearing gloves] that brand new fresh box experience somewhat enhanced by the fact it's below minus  outside, so all the contents have that cool fresh touch, which seems to make it feel all the newer crisper opening everything in your cosy lounge, don;t you guys/gals just love getting new toys your turn Adrian! [btw now comes with a 2 yr warranty plus the uk version comes with the capture nx software on a disc [£90 on amazon!! ]some of the new D300s where shipping with just a download code to use after the trial download if you were lucky enough]

Nice one Steve, now get that battery on charge.

One advantage I have, the D200 uses the same batteries so I have one ready charged for when I get mine.  It will probably be this afternoon as I'll have to go into Manchester and I'm not going until it warms up a bit more.

I've just ordered the PS CS3 upgrade as Adobe do not support CS2 anymore so you can't get the updates to the RAW files processing.

Nice one A is it the same battery its suposed to last like 3 times longer than on the D200 must be the new processor i guess. i kinda struggle with PS elements   gonna give the NX a whirl supposed to be much more user friendly [read for those more challenged i guess ] might take more than the time to charge the battery to get to grips with it though, BUT ISN"T THAT ALL PART OF THE FUN! Brenda going with you or left you to your own devices usually mine takes a detour into M/S knickers and bras

enjoy

Yes Brenda will be with me but I think she might end up in Selfridges or Harvey Nics.

Never mind, she doesn't go over the top when spending.

Regarding PS, as I already have CS2 I thought I may as well upgrade as it's a lot cheaper than buying new.  I did try NX a while ago and did not spend as much time with it as I should have.  I found it a bit awkward but then again I find most things awkward.  Must be myage.

Well mines in the back of the car and we are just having a coffee in a shopping mall.  I can't wait to get it home and start playing with it.  (The camera)

I've just looked on the Nikon support site and there's a firmware update for the D300 that's just been announced.
