I'm still getting used to the MacBook but I think I'm going to like it. One feature I could not fid is a "Delete" key. Not a big issue but when you are used to one, you miss it. I overcame the problem by downloading a programme called "Double Command". With this you can assign the "\" key to act as the "Delete" key.
I have not installed Windows XP as yet as I need to purchase another copy as all mine are OEM e.g. registered to one machine.

 maybe I've misunderstood you , the delete key is the back arrow on the macbook keyboard top right under the eject key

I don't know anything about this macbook, and I have never seen one, but isn't the back arrow the "Backspace", which works a little different than the "Delete", and I can see how that can be annoying if that's what you're used to....

That's a back space type key Steve. On a PC you can place the cursor before an item and press "Del" to obliterate it. Also if you run a PC emulator on a Mac you need "Control" + "Alt" + "Del" to get you out of the occasional difficulty.

guess i'm wrong ,  just when i highlight stuff then press that key it deletes it also in i-photo if i press the same key whilst viewing a pic, it deletes/trashes the image , is that not the same thing as a delete key? |

It is in a way a delete key but just a bit different than on a PC.
