Rahil,
I've tried, not very successfully, to make a better crop of your picture and also tried to lighten up the dark areas around the head. One of the golden rules of photography is the rule of thirds. Try to get your image at the 1/3 point in the picture. This applies best to landscapes where the horizon would be at the 1/3 or 2/3 of the height of a picture, you did this very well with your sunset. I've tried to move your subject to the left to pace it approximately 1/3 from that edge. Have a look and see if you think it looks better.
For tips on bird photography I highly recommend Bird Forum at http://www.birdforum.net
There are some of the worlds best bird photographers posting there and they have critique sections and help sections. I learned an awful lot there. |
