I bought this Santos around 1979.  At the time I'd just sold a Moto Guzzi Le Mans motorbike and had some spare cash.  It's got a nice automatic movement and goes well under a dress shirt.  I wore it last night when we got dressed up for the 18th birthday party of sandhappy's deldest daughter Callie (pronunced Kally).  I'd promised to post pictures a few weeks ago and never got round to it so here's a quick wrist shot.

Nice classic watch...

What movement is inside if I might ask?

When I bought the watch I was told it was a Jaeger movement but I'm a bit dubious about that.  I think I'll have to do some research and get back to you.

So far all I can get is sites selling watches and anything close to it is classed as "Cartier Automatic Movement".  Someone somewhere will know the answer so I'll keep looking.

Some of the later models were certainly modified ETA, mine was one of the originals so who knows.

Beautiful Cartier, Adrian.

My wife and I have matching Cartier Tanks, purchased in 1981.  I wear mine every once in awhile and always get nice comments on it!

The tank is a classic Allan, every collection should have one.
