I don't know about you guys but I'm bloated and can't stand to see another piece of turkey or Christmas cake.  Brenda really goes to town with her Christmas meals as she enjoys preparing everything and seeing it through to the conclusion on Christmas day.

Even though we have spent at least 30 Christmas days here in Saudi, she has always come up with the goods.  I remember in the old days when next to nothing was available in the shops, we made our own marzipan from almonds and icing sugar.  We even made our own decorations from crepe paper etc.  Somehow it was better as you appreciated things more than if you just picked it up from a store.

Well I need a rest and something for my stomach before it bursts.

Yep, I know what you mean Unc..

Chlristmas eve we had a glazed ham, smoked beef brisquit, shrimp scampi, fresh breads...and desseert.....Yummy///I had to have some of everything..

In Christmas day we had a nice turkey, grilled salmon, and a roast beef eye of chuck (whoever he is)....and of course some more desserts..

I'm sure there must have been some veggies in there too...

Today I'm just going to sit and digest......of course there are a bunch of chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar, and christmas cookies left....and some apple pie, and pumpkin...a rum cake...oh, and I like the fruit cake....

I'll be right back.....maybe..

After reading the above I don't feel so bad now about indulging myself.

We had a great Christmas gathering and , as usual, the food was bountiful.  There was turkey, ham loaf with cherry sauce, venison, mashed potatoes and gravy, several vegetable dishes, three kinds of pie and chocolate cream puffs.

Not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings, I sampled all the dishes.  Losing count, I had to go back for seconds just to make sure I didn't miss any.  Did I mention there was three kinds of pie?

I ate too much, as I knew I would and did some extra penance on the treadmill the next day.

Well I'm bloated again.

Last night we went to Sandhappy's house (our latest member).  They had been in Indonesia during Christmas and had their annual Christmas lunch at home late.  Brenda and I were invited to provide the entertainment and take presents, which is possibly the real reason.  Anyway, Alison his wife, had put on a lovely spread and we came away bloated again.

I've got to get this belly down, my trousers are getting tighter.
