Yesterday afternoon I went down to the seashore and took a couple of pictures of the many waders that are with us for winter.


A ringed plover. We do see these most of the year.


Dunlin in it's winter plumage.

I really don't know anything about birds, but the more I'm browsing here, the more I'm starting to like them!
That first picture is a beautiful little bird! Good job at taking the picture!

For these shots I used a Nikon 300mm f2.8 with vibration reduction, plus a 2X converter. There is hardly any cropping of these pictures, just enough to enable then to fit onto A4 paper size.
