There is a high mountain pass that connects Nevada to California, but rises to over 7,000 feet and is only open for a few months during the year because of snow pack and land slide potential

Tioga Pass, looking down into the east side of Yosemite Park..

At the top of the Pass.  The wind blows the trees into unusual shapes..



Here's a picture of Pam taking a picture with her cheap point-and-shoot that usually turn out better than mine.

And some friends pointing to what Pam is taking a better photo of ....
