Hi, all. I recently bought a watch from an on-line dealer and thought I'd let everyone know how well it went. Thanks to Fransie, (who I'm still pissed off at for this ) I've been getting into WWII flight jackets over the past couple of years. Reproductions of WWII flight jackets to be more exact. Anyway I wanted to get a Hamilton Khaki watch because they look so much now like they did back in WWII.
Well, they're impossible to find in person around here so it was off to the internet I went. They're a pretty inexpensive watch so I wasn't too concerned about getting ripped off. I found a good price on a site called "E Watches". I called them up and their service center was surprisingly knowledgeable and helpful. They had the watch to my doorstep in two days without a hitch. So, if anyone has had a look at them and was wondering weather or not their reputable, they did good by me. _________________ Me? I'm still looking for Kokomo |

That's good to know CJ.
Are you and Fransie starting your own WWII airforce? |

I had a Willis & Geiger US Army Air Corp leather jacket many years ago. I liked the jacket but didn't care for the fact that it had no pockets for your hands. There were two map pockets on the front of the jacket but the Army intentionally left off any side pockets for hands. They didn't want the crew members putting their hands in their pockets, as they thought this was too dangerous for their assignment.
W & G was the original maker of their jacket and I think the company is still in business, making their reproductions.
Unfortunately the jacket shrunk (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) and I gave it away.
Not sure what the Khaki Hamilton watch looks like but I have a reproduction 1939 Hamilton that I wore for several years. I love the style and it has an unusual strap arrangement that requires a very supple (expensive) strap. _________________ Regards,

I know what you mean by shrinking. One of mine has "shrunk" a bit too
The Hamilton Khaki looks a bit like the original mechanicals back in WWII with some modern convinces. I'll try to get a pic posted soon. But, here's a link to the one I bought

Thanks, Bob. I paid much less than what's listed. I initially was going to buy it from Princeton watches but it was back-ordered for threee weeks. _________________ Me? I'm still looking for Kokomo |
