Hello from Kansas

This is my second try, as my first has disappeared to some unknown region.

My name is John and I'm fully retired after 30+ years in law enforcement. I'm not having any problem keeping occupied and wonder how I ever found time to work. An "old timer" once told me that once you retire you'd better allow plenty of time for it. I now know what he was referring to! :)

I'm an avid reader, enjoy my computer and have a state of the art 60" HDTV, which includes a complete surround sound system. In addition, I'm an active badge collector. :D

If you're wondering about my screen name, Kansas is a plains state (flat), hence Flatlander. :lol:

I'm looking forward to some pleasant times here and hope this forum will be a success.

I thought I would have plenty of time to read after I retired also.

So far, the only time I find is when we go on a trip somewhere....

How I ever found time to work, I don't know...
