Okay, let me see how much Jimbo really knows....
I'll start with one question and I'll add to it when it's answered correctly.

How many full turns of the crown do you need to fully wind a 3135 movement?

Hah!  I'll throw out a guess but I know absolutely nothing!  Never said I was afraid to look like a fool!

I thought it was a 50 hour reserve generated via about 40 turns.

Well maybe "at least 40 turns"?  That's all I ever remember reading. In other words you can't over wind it.

Alright, I'll give you that one....

The correct answer is 39.4 full turns of the crown!

Now, let me think of a new question.... (unless you can come up with something?)

Well, I have a question.

When my Rolex is stopped (out of wound spring), how come I have to wind it many many times before it starts moving.  It takes like 10+ turns before it starts moving.  Now that is like 25% of the power reserve if the relationship is linear.

That means your watch's beat is off. It's a little adjustment to sync it again.

Beat, simlpy explained, is when your watch does "tic-toc....tic-toc..." instead of "tic-toc-tic-toc". When your watch starts up again from nothing, it takes a while to find it's rythm if the beat is off.

Really interesting b/c both of my watches do it and both keep very good time.  I guess the beat being off doesn't hurt anything then?

GMT is -1 sec day
Sub is -1.5 sec day

No, it only hurts when the beat is REALLY off. But then your watch wouldn't even start after 30 turns without shaking it a little.
