What brand of lenses do you use?I finally made the step and I am going for the Canon 50D.But I have no knowledge about lenses... 
Canon makes them, Sigma, Tamron and several other brands..

Most of my lenses are Nikon but I guess that's no help to you. I did have a Tamron 200-500 zoom that was OK in good light but only so, so at other times. I kept it mainly because it was light and I could take it back and forth when I travelled between home and Saudi. I sold this and bought a Sigma 500mm f4.5. I like this lens a lot but to compare it to the Tamron would be unfair as it's a prime lens and cost almost six times more. The best lenses will be Canon but Sigma, Tamron and Tokina make some decent stuff. DP Reviews have some good lens reviews. I shoot with Canon cameras, and I prefer Canon lenses..
You can always be sure that the lens will function properly and all the accessories will work... There are exceptions when you get into special optics, but Canon makes more lenses for their cameras than the independents do. |
