Thoughts Guys! On A Rose Gold DD

Rose Gold I love personally what's your thoughts on the dial choice or your preference, black dial and arabics too sporty for a "dress" rolex

some divine intervention decided platinium shouldn't be an option! if you like vote for the White gold after all it does look like it as does SS look like WG

Tough one...

I don't personally wear solid gold if I can help it....it just seems too flashy, but times change; I wore gold watches in the 70's ...

My vote would be for the Platinum or White Gold..
Not too flashy, kind of stealthy. But anybody who knows...knows; and those who don't....just the words - It's Platinum, are all that's needed..

By coincidence, the wife and I were on a short vacation in Kansas City, MO. this past week and I couldn't pass up a visit to one of the AD's. I tried on several Rolexes and my favorite by far was a RG DD with a black dial and diamonds. I thought the combination was very elegant and understated. However, I would prefer a black dial and RG raised Romans. The Arabic's are a little "sporty" for my taste but the watch needs to suit the owner's preference.

I know I'm biased on the black dial and Romans since that's what I have on my RG TT DJ but it is a very striking contrast. I still like the YG DD's but when compared side by side, IMO, the RG is "dressy" yet very subtle and can be worn with anything or to any function. As Tools mentioned, solid gold (yellow) can appear flashy and I think the RG is a good alternative if this is a consideration.

I chose yellow gold basically because I prefer that colour.

I need an option that says "all of the above"
You can never go wrong with the DD, and they're classic in every color, as long as it has the perfect dial color...
White roman on YG
Black roman on RG
Meteorite on WG (do they even offer that on the DD?? )
Icy blue (I don't know the correct name) on Platinum.

They do indeed offer the meteorite dial on white gold but it also comes with a couple of bagette diamonds at the 6 9 12 not to flash IMHO and does look great with the WG

I've seen rose gold in TT TOG's that look excellent. But, my dream watch is a yellow gold DD with President bracelet, fluted bezel, white dial and stick markers. If I make it to retirement, that'll be my "getting out in one piece" gift to myself. So, it's Yellow gold for me.

Rose gold would look nice on watches like that, just look at Omegas or Patek

I voted for rose gold. I think the this watch with matching dial, riased romans and a fluted bezel is nice.

I also like the Plat Day Date with the ice blue dial like Brad Pitt wore in Ocean's 11 & 12.
