This one is a keeper!!!I've owned quite a few Rolex's over the years but never really was content with what I had and usually found myself looking for another in very short order. I finally realized that I was looking for that one special watch that meant a lot more to me than just it's looks or style.
My wife knows nothing of watches and couldn't identify the difference between a Submariner or an AirKing. She could honestly care less about them. But, she knows I love them and she's accepted that and never once complained about the money I've spent on them. She really is an amazing woman and an awful lot more than I could ever possibly deserve. With all that she's been through with me with what I do for a living and my rather colorful youthful years, she's nothing shy of saintly.
She reads these forums now and again if I happen to leave the page open and gets a good laugh out of some of the ball breaking we do. But, she happened to read some threads and overheard some phone calls where I mentioned wanting a watch with a lot of sentiment behind it. She went and bought me just that watch. She explained what I wanted to my mother, brother and one of my uncles, three of the four most important people in my life. She had my mother, brother and uncle chip in just a few bucks each and she kicked in the rest and bought me a watch that'll be a keepsake I'll cherish forever.
It's arrival wasn't a complete surprise as I knew I was getting it today. But, I didn't know which model it would be until I opened the box.
Hmm,
Plain white box
It's getting better
Papers and warranty card...Could they actually be in my name?
Holy sh!te, they are. That's huge for me. And very rare, in my case.
The moment of truth
Ahh, the first peek...
O.K., it's an Oyster Bracelet. That narrows it down a bit
Good Lord, she picked the one I really wanted!!!
It even has the RBR !
Wow! Hang tags
Here we go. the mandatory wrist shot!!!
I'm too stoked for words to describe!!!

That's a great watch and congratulations. Wear it in good health.
More importantly, take care of that wife. You're fortunate to have someone that cares that much about you and your wants.
I also have one of those rare ladies and it just keeps getting better!

"True" sentiment behind a mere material possesion will always make something special something money cant buy, and its true worth is how it makes you feel , is it not IMHO The fact its a bloody ! Rolex helps though

Thank you, all, very much. This was, with doubt, the most touching gift and display I've ever recieved. I'm usually very private with these things and would normally only mention the getting a new watch part on the internet. But, I just had to share this with you guys.
