.........and I'm thinking of selling mine. Mind you I'd put the money towards a new 500mm lens.

I think you may be right. I'm still not crazy about the blue but the black on the other hand...

I would definitely get a 500 lens before getting a new Sub...........

Nice indeed, but I prefer the old ones...

For some reason, the lugs on the subs look bigger than the ones on the new GMTs. This was my observation when I tried both on.

I think it's a very handsome look.

I agree. But I like the older style TT black Sub. The linen colored date wheel and gold colored writing on the dial are much better looking than the white IMO

You're just sucking up to Adrian with that, Paulie!
Seriously though, I agree about the general look of that vintage of Sub. That's why I like the BLUE one!

I totally agree! Why they killed the gold font and linen date wheel are a mystery to me. I'll be keeping my 16613.

I happen to like both models. Now all I got to do is figure out how to come up with the scratch to buy one!!!

I'm not sure that I like the bigger case, it makes the bracelet seem less substantial. I've not seen one in the wild yeat though so I'll hold judgement. My AD say they won't be getting any in until October.

See how nice the gold font and date wheel look with the TT as opposed to white

the new two tone subs are elegant and stunning. I am certain they will be big sellers, but i doubt they will ever approach the sales volume of the stainless steel submariner date, which i think is a fantastic watch. two tones are expensive to buy, and you've got to be very patient to get a decent price on resale and not take a beating.
thanks for the photos, Larry!
