Caroline, the link ain't working so I googled the key words.

I'm assuming it's the 15 year old girl and the 20 people who watched the incident etc.

There really isn't a punishment severe enough for both those who did it or those who allowed it to happen.

I'm not a hero and perhaps my actions wouldn't have helped the situation or outcome but by trying to help, if I survived, at least I'd be able to live with myself!

Wow, Jim - that is such a bittersweet story! A horror of an event, but such an act of unselfishness.

Sorry that link is down. I see red every time I hear about the original story. If I were there, those men would be having involuntary sex change operations.

I just learned about this last night on the news. I used to have Richmond as part of my territory when I was a sales rep...There were times when I felt unsafe during the day! I can't imagine what this poor girl is going through, I just hope she can get the proper counseling to help her through this.

Horrific! That poor girl will go to the grave with emotional (and possibly physical) scars from this devastating incident. That people can stand around and watch the intense pain and public degradation of another human being, let alone a teenage girl, without directly intervening or notifying the police is revolting. This world is spinning progressively out of control.

First, I believe castration of the four offenders would not be a severe enough punishment. And where did our moral values go to when people can stand around and watch such inhuman treatment of a fellow human being without coming to her aid.....

That is absolutely terrible.

I feel more anger for those bastids who stood around doing nothing than the actual perpertrators themselves.......or maybe all of them should be rounded up and castrated!!!

Thank you, Faith. I watched that the other night, and it was very interesting. And quite disturbing, on many levels. As a parent, it makes me cringe.

I've typed and retyped several sentences - I just don't know what to say.
