Post an embarrasing picture - if you dare.Back in the eighties, perms were all the rage. Well I succumbed to the trend and had one just before we went to Paris for a few days break. Here's me (on the left) with a bust of mine that's in the Louvre. This even had the usually stern French laughing.

This half century plus old photograph was taken (so I am told) in northern Nevada in a small town called Wells. My dad worked as an engineer with a road construction company building the paved road infrastructure in Nevada so there was a fair amount of moving in the early years....He grew up as a farmer on a small farm his grandfather started after immigrating from Scotland with his English bride.
We did settle later at a small ranch in southern Nevada where we raised Quarter Horses as a pastime.
