Parachrom hairspring

Now that Rolex is producing their own hairsprings, I expect they will eventually find their way into the entire line.

Anybody know if these new springs are interchangable with the older Nivarox hairsprings in earlier models such as the 16710 GMT or 16610 Sub ?

If they interchange might it also be expected that they would turn up in the M series Subs and SD's etc..

not sure if they could be retrofitted. but apparently it was confirmed by rolex's R&D that the new spring will only appear in the latest daytonas/YMII/New GMT and Millguass and no others in the current range, so here's my thoughts they have enough of the "old Stuff" to see out the current Sub/SD movements maybe something new coming not to far away!!

The base movement (3135) is still the same, so I would guess the balance can't be that different besides the color of the hairspring. I think you can exchange the old with the new, but I don't think they're available for purchase in order to do so...

This is what I have suspected..

I think that when the inventory of the older balance dwindles, any repairs/replacement would be made with the new Parachrom balance..
