Ouch follow-upAfter living on extra strength drugs for a few days, I was able to make it to the charity ball last night.. (Saturday night)
This is a per-plate (or table) dinner to help a local charity that provides services and job training to autistic children and those with learning disabilities.. or brain damage through accident, etc.. A worthy goal as it gives them someting to be proud of, provides them with a paying job (potentially), and eases the tax burdon for us all.
I picked a shirt that was a bit snug for the occasion, and the sleeves were a bit longish as well, so the Sub stayed home and I put on the old standby vintage (~1970) Seiko..
A good time was had by all, the wine was excellent, and the filet with jumbo prawns made for a passable meal.. I, of course, ate too much..
I do hope that everybody had a good weekend and find themselves and family in good health..

Nice to hear you managed the Ball Larry and hopefully the back pain will soon be a thing of the past. We tend to forget our age at times and try to relive our youth, ending up with aches and pains. Take it easy our you may have to send me those cruise tickets. As for my weekend, well I can't really join in as Thursday and Friday is my weekend and it's work for me on Saturday and Sunday. Anyway we have an hotel booked for Bahrain from Wednesday night until Friday so I hope to get a few more bird pictures and sink a few pints of course.

Some countries are and some are not. You can get a drink in Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai. Some countries have a system where expats can have a rationed amount. Saudi Arabia is totally dry but what you do in your own home is your business, if you know what I mean.
