THE SUPER QUARTZ

This watch is powered by the so called super-quartz technology that claims accuracy to within a few second a year. yes that's right a few seconds PER YEAR. Breitling have other models with the SQ movement, but here's one I had for a while:

I've never been a great fan of Breitling but that model looks nice.

I have a Breitling M-1 SQ titanium. It's my beater of sorts, but it still looks great. The titanium is very durable.

I used to have the Seawolf Chrono Avenger but I sold it and now I miss it dearly....

Very nice! I've always liked the SuperOcean on rubber and the Navitimer on black strap 8)

My favorite Breitlings are the Chrono Avenger like Chip posted and the Steelfish.

I sure love the look of a Brietling...

But these old eyes can't make out the smaller dials and print.

As a matter of fact, I've got 2 chronographs and find I almost never put one on anymore.. Guess I'm at the point where I need a nice plain dial....

Yes, Breitling was my one and only chronograph. I found that I never really had a good reason to time anything and like you said th sub dials are a bit hard to see in some light.

I suppose this is what you would call an 'easy to read dial:

So what time is it showing?

I had the "Emergency Mission" the more traditional chronograph/sub dials look which I prefered but the Transmitter elements are the same. basically by unscrewing the antena and pulling out the signal is activated on both models, its a international reckonized signal transmitted that would be picked up by any International Rescue service within its beacon range.
as an some added info to purchase this watch you, leastwise i, was made to produce my passport as proof of identy and sign a disclaimer which is held at breitling. basically you are liable for all costs in the event of a false activation of the watch!!!, battery changes are only done by Breitling themselves and you sign agreeing to returning the watch for service/battery change every 2 years if i recall. on the bright side should you actually activate your watch in a real emergency situation Brietling will replace/ repair the watch itself FOC. Its only in recent years civilians have been allowed to purchase this "Tool watch" previously a pilots license was required and took a court case by breitling to convince the authorities otherwise.
