A couple of wadersYesterday afternoon I went down to the seashore and took a couple of pictures of the many waders that are with us for winter.
A ringed plover. We do see these most of the year.
Dunlin in it's winter plumage.

I really don't know anything about birds, but the more I'm browsing here, the more I'm starting to like them!
That first picture is a beautiful little bird! Good job at taking the picture!

I just sat on the shore line keeping very still and the birds just walked within 15 foot of me. Very accommodating.

So what type of telephoto lens did you use for these great shots Adrian?

For these shots I used a Nikon 300mm f2.8 with vibration reduction, plus a 2X converter. There is hardly any cropping of these pictures, just enough to enable then to fit onto A4 paper size.
