SEA-DWELLER BRACLET OK?

My SD bracelet is at maximum clasp holes. Can any SD owner here verify that I have the correct number of links that should be supplied with the watch?

Seems odd that I have an average size wrist, yet to fit I have to have the anchor points in the last holes. I wonder how 8 inch and above wrists go?

steve

I'm almost certain i had an additional link than you on the 12 side! i remember thinking the set up was different than all the other Rolex oyster bracelets i had, and indeed removed the one link, had it on the 3rd micro adjustment on my 71/4 wrist

I also think there should be an extra one at 12, I'll double check today!

Is it a screw link that's missing JJ? If I did get one, where would it go on the bracelet?

Steve,

There's a very good review for the SD at this link Sea Dweller
There are a few bracelet pictures that might help.

I thought Rolex only put "Swiss" on dials that have been replaced in a service?

Have a look at the picture below. You need NINE links all up on the '12' side.

On the '6' side you have FIVE FULL links which is correct on an SD. On a Sub-date (SS as well as TT), you will find 4½ links on the '6' side.

On your SD bracelet, don't do anything to the 6 o'clock side. But on the 12 o'clock side, you will need to add on one link just above the NOTCHED link as in my picture.
Notice how I have SEVEN links above the NOTCHED link...whereas you have only SIX!!

I spoke with a nice girl in an AD in Brisbane and yes they have a link for me in stock, so I have ordered it.

I think the watch will sit better on my wrist with that link in the 12 o'clock side fitted and the clasp re-adjusted inwards to take up the slack. At the moment, the watch is slightly biased towards the ulnar bone in my wrist.

Thanks for the input on this Steve, ABS & JJ of course.

Well done, Steve. Now you have all of the original configuration and are wearing the bracelet as it was meant to be worn!!
