My only Rolex

I have only one Rolex watch. I was fortunate enough to buy this BNIB and although I was after a recent 16610, but I 'pulled the trigger' on this one. It is the updated version of the original Bond Submariner.

The watch is very comfortable on wrist, easy to read and always looks classy, due in part to the 904L stainless steel that has a lustre of its own.

The absence of the date does not bother me as I am retired and I'd rather not count the days!

The accuracy of my 14060M is uncanny. Maybe I have bought a freak one, I don't know, but it ALWAYS seems to be spot on with the time!

An excellent choice Steve: I like the simple looks of the ND Sub (but I just happen to wear my green one more than my 14060M)...

As for the accuracy, as you will know, they do tend to alter throughout the time to service (5 - 7 years?) but you obviously have a really well regulated one at least for now.

Of course, it may be losing or gaining exactly one day per day and you don't know due to the lack of the date  :D
Sam

I must agree....the 14060m is the current version of the classic Submariner. I really like the dial not having SCOC on the dial...keeps it simple! It wears great on the wrist, and mine is as accurate as yours. Funny....for being my only non-COSC Rolex, it is also my most accurate. :D

Suhail

Thats a cool watch , I too have a ND Sub and wear it everyday.

Its just so nice and clean!

And Nick, LOL!

Would that depend on whether you were a pessimist or an optimist? :?:

I am lucky enough to have an N series 17013 OQ, an F LV and a D SD. I have the SD on a RHD waterproof carbon strap with deployant.

Likewise Craig..

As mentioned on another thread...I'm interested in hearing your "resignation" story...

CJ

Story, what story?

The 14060M is a stunning watch! :D So clean and classic. The only current lug hole sport model available, last of a breed! Big congrats!!

Stop it, before you make me buy another one

And a fine one to own if you have only one, Steve. Congrats! Simple, yet the epitome of elegance!

It's a fine one to own even if you have a few...

I am disappointed with the new changes..I feel the clean dial was refreshing and truly reflected Rolex basic roots...

Not that the new 14060M doesn't look good, it's just that you no longer have a choice.....

I'm keeping mine.....

I am dissapointed with a LOT of the changes that Rolex has made with many of the new models. I am DEFINITELY keeping all of mine!!! 8)
Suhail

Thats an excellent choice. If I had to have keep just one watch, the ND Sub would be it.

Classy and elegant while strong enough to take on the rigours of daily wear.
