My new Tudor Tiger chrono

I visited my favorite store yesterday and purchased this:

SN H116xxx
It's a BNIB Tudor Tiger Chronograph with slate dial and white subdials.
I had been eyeballing it for months. From what I know so far it dates back to approx 1997. (If anyone knows for sure, please inform me)
When I was on the cruise my wife encouraged me to look on the ship for a new watch. I seriously considered an Omega Speedmaster Pro but it didn't have a date so I kept thinking about this one instead. I'm glad I waited. The pictures don't do it justice.

That is one Fantastic Tudor Chrono Bill. I look at them all the time. One day I will get one. Congrats and enjoy it

Good looking watch Bill, congratulations.

Thanks to Dan Pierce for informing me that it's probably 1999.
Thanks Dan

No problem, Bill.  Love it.
My preference, like Nathan and Padi, is the black bezel [especially a rotating bezel]. Having said that, I'm thoroughly enjoying the metal tacky bezel on my latest.

Yes, the rotating bezel is like a bonus. I can use it like I do my GMT.
Also the Tudor name offers abit of anonymity. Bought my wife's car last night. Sales lady saw the watch, read the name and said, "Tudor, never heard of it". Lol

they are not currently sold in UK either, although Marke on another well known forum seems to be able to get them ordered through Rolex UK.
Strong word is that Tudor are supposed to be relaunched in both countries in about a year

Great watch Bill.

A beauty...Tudors are really picking up the heat. Was talking to somebody last night and he was saying that the gap in prices between a matt dial Tudor sub (like Martin's) and a Rolex 5513 is getting narrower by the month.

Bill, great looking watch and enjoy your new purchase!!!

Rolex is a lot more progressive/aggressive with the Tudor line......

I'll be hoping that the rumors are true - the Tudor line will be re-introduced to the U.S.   I've looked at some of the designs online - quite a different flavor than Rolex.

Yes...much more "with it" looks..  I have a catalogue for Tudor that Alcan sent me last year... I'm always amazed to see them emerge with their own look...

Congrats Bill. That watch is a beauty
