Man....I got watch fever. Is there anyone else here who can't stop thinking about watches?
Seriously, I think I have a problem. I relate everything to watches.
Hope the bonus this year is good b/c I can get that watch.
Bought a lottery ticket tonight b/c I was hoping to fix that watch itch.
Thinking about a part time job/hobby that could get me more watches.
Is anyone else like me?
I seriously don't go more than an hour without thinking about a watch!

And they are so darn expensive also unless you are born rich or a movie star.
I might get one more Rolex down the road but since Im retired I really dont wear the one I have much......around the house I wear a cheapo Casio because im always banging it into the wall and scratching it.....and then I think "Man Im glad I did not have my Pepsi GMT on,I would super pissed now"

If you got another what would you pick, Gregg?
May I extend that question to everyone: what would be your next Rolex?

I've got all that I want now. But if I were ever to covet another Rolex it would be this one for sure.
The meteorite Daytona on a black strap is one gorgeous timepiece as well as a beautiful piece of jewelry. Even Arleen loved it when I tried one on.

I've got some other grails, Jim, but that's my Rolex grail. I'll have to think about the others, but I can tell you they've all got multiple complications. Too bad they are all way out of my price range, which at the present time is limited to Casio or Timex.

Saying I don't think about watches is a bit of a lie...
If I had the money to burn I'd have a Rolex GMT BLRO, a SUB ND cosc, a whte face SS Cos, a IWC Spitfire Chrono, a BP FF, a Breguet Marine Chrono and a JlC Polaris.
That would be a complete collection...alas, there is always something else to spend money on!

Just bought an AP ROO a couple of months back and I know the feeling. I was powerless to stop myself once I knew it was available. Fortunately, I'm feeling sated for the time being.
Should you WANT to get over it, my favorite approach is to take the money that new watch will require and think what it could be used for in the other things you enjoy for hobbies. I have to say, the thought of a new max'd out Mac, plus new home theater gear, plus new golf clubs / fir*arms etc. The just go buy one of those things.

Matt, that's what I keep doing... want to pay off the house.... get a new fence... beef up the college funds... but if the time was right, I'd be very tempted by a DJ with white face, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet... like the one Karis has. I'm just not sure I'd want to go as big as 36mm. I don't know if that look is available in the 34mm Date - its options are pretty limited.

That's a good plan Lisa and a GREAT watch. I thought the DJ jump was from 31mm to 36mm? Wish I knew more about the women's models.

It DOES - you're right. There's the 31mm midsize, and then the 36mm which everyone now seems to be calling a unisex size. But there is also a 34mm called the Date - which is what I wear. I like the size, but it's not a very common style and I don't know if it is even available with a fluted bezel and white face with romans. Or a jubilee braclet! I need to study that Oysterworld website again - it seems to list all possible configurations for every Rolex currently in production.
In case you've ever missed it (but I feel like I've worn out these pics) here's my 34mm Date:

You could probably pull off 36mm, but that 34mm fits you perfect so I see your point. You ever take the risk of just strolling by the AD and slipping one on?

Gregg, you must be thinking of someone else... but wouldn't that be a nice collection!
I used to have a 26mm DJ but sold it and got the Date because the dial was so much easier to read. The only other watch I ever wear is my husband's Explorer II, white dial. I have it on a black leather strap.
Matt, It might be fun to try on a 36mm, but I just don't have that crazed longing at the moment! Told you I'm a WIS failure.

Well, it must be wicked because all of the balls hook right into the gutter after rolling about 20 feet!

Interesting fact, did you know left handed people were "sinister"in ancient Greek. The left hand side of a coat of arms is still called the sinister. Makes you wonder.

Lisa, my Dad was a lefty who was forced as a child by the school system in Chicago to conform and be right handed. So he learned to do things with both hands. I turned out to be ambidextrous and can do many things better left handed than I can do with my right hand!!!
