Kind of cute for a ratI went down to the James River to try to get a good shot of an Osprey I have seen there but he wasn't cooperating so a resident Muskrat was kind enough to fill the void. 
He had obviously found a bed of freshwater mussels and you could set your watch by his routine of swimming out and diving for his meal, swimming back to the bank, opening the morsel and devouring it and heading back to the same spot. Fun to watch. It was in poor light so the shots are not the best quality.

He's just one big fluff ball. On the other hand, those claws look dangerous. 
It's raining here and yesterday we had a bad sandstorm. I might not get any pictures today or tomorrow.
