It's warming up here!

It's still Springtime here and already we are warming up for another blistering Summer.

Today it reached 30C with 70% humidity in my area. Would be even warmer on the coast as the humidity is always higher there. I thought about driving down to Broadbeach for a swim. My friend down there described the sea temp as tepid, so it wouldn't be exactly bracing.

It's still 22C at 10.45pm.

Hope for some rain tomorrow.

Turn the beer frig up a couple of notches too

It's cooling down here, only 30 degrees today. People are starting to wear jumpers etc.
CJ

It's finally cooling off a bit here too. Sweater and jacket weather is upon us.

Fall is definitely in the air here. We had our first frost warning last week and the night temps are getting down in the high 30's. Winter is not far away.

Being retired now, I find I'm enjoying winter much more. No need to go out unless I want to and I just lay up with a good book and a hot cup of coffee.

I do have to get out when it snows though. I'm the only one on the block with a snowblower. We have several elderly and widowed neighbors and I clear 7 residences driveways and sidewalks.

Yes, I was using the Fahrenheit scale. Another important winter consideration in this area is the wind chill factor. Our winds can be brutal and it can drop the temperature dramatically. The winds are also a problem with drifting snow and a couple of areas on our major east-west highway in the northern part of the state near Colorado have permanent gates. These are used to close the highway during big snow storms.

Temps are plummeting here as well.

I might have to find where I put those long sleeved shirts in a few days...

Still nice and hot around here... upper 80F, or lower 30C, and it's fall here...
