Is the latest Oyster Perpetual a winner...or NotSo, what do you think of the latest 36mm Oyster Perpetual. Will it be a contender for the DateJust

I don't like it, they should sack their designer.

I think that it is a bit busy.
Plus, it says about 10 after 6 right now...
But an hour later wouldn't it say 10 minutes past 35

I looked at the website just now but didn't see that model when I checked out the "perpetual" lineup. Not sure what to think of that dial.
When Rolex refers to "rolesor," I always thought that meant two-tone; either yellow or rose gold and steel. Yet they're describing white gold/steel combos as rolesor. So does anyone know what "rolesor" actually means?

I think the term Rolesor is used to describe Gold. In some countries like the UK, it's illegal to call advertise a metal as Gold if it does not have a Hallmark. To get round this, Rolex use the term Rolesor. Or meaning Gold in several languages.
Just my thoughts on the matter, I could be totally wrong but it sounds plausible.
Edit
I found this information on another site, it seems I wasn't far out.
Rolesor is Rolex's term for the combination of stainless steel with the yellow, white or pink 18-carat gold, a look that jazzes up either all-steel or all-gold models. It derives from the terms Rolex (naturally), and Or, the French word for gold.

That dial is a mess. The 3,6,9 with alternate 5 min increments makes no sense to me. Not a fan here. I can't find the thumbs down icon but if I could it would get two from me.

That is a terrible dial. It's so busy it's confusing and it looks like it was designed by a committee.

I don't think it looks that bad! Although I'm sure in real life it'll look better than on picture... kinda like the YMII; looks much better in real as well!

You know what? I saw the this at the AD today in a different color scheme and I thought it was quite handsome. It's also significantly cheaper than a DJ - about $4400 if I recall what the salesguy said. The one I saw had a silver outer dial and dark blue concentric center. The numerals weren't as high in contrast as the one here - can't remember exactly what color they were but it was almost a tan color.

I'll admit it may look better in the flesh, after all it couldn't look worse. Mind you when I saw the first pictures of the LV Sub I didn't like it but when I saw it in the flesh it was a different story. Maybe they should sack their photographer.

Many watches had that sort of dial back in the 1940s-50s sort of explorer
with a dash of military a real retro look.

No cigar, as far as I'm concerned. Almost rivals the Clownmaster for ugliness...
