Jim, this is one more time I wish you guys lived over here - Halloween is a big-time little kid fest. Please give that little Pumpkin a piece of chocolate from baby Vi, okay?

Our subdivision has 83 homes, yes I drove around and counted them, and ours is the only one around for miles. Thus, we get a lot of kids who do not live in our area. I must say we have well over 250 kids come to the door. Our subdivision sits on 200 acres and is well spread out, so it take at least 2 hours for the kids to visit all the homes. People drive up in golf carts, hay wagons, lawn mowers and such. It is kind of a big deal. The wife takes the two youngest out and I stay back, drinking beer, handing out candy, and making the mums feel uneasy with my stares. Also, since Halloween is on Sturday, this is the big weekend for the Georgia/Florida game. It is a lot of fun to poke fun at the losing fans. All the dads will be dressed up in their Georgia or Florida outfits.

That sounds like a great time! We get swarms of kids from surrounding areas, too - people like our neighborhood because it's full of creepy old houses, but is considered safe. I doubt we'll have anyone home to hand out candy, since Dave and I will out be corralling our three - unless we can recruit Dave's mom or sister to drive down.

I have always enjoyed Halloween. When I was a kid everyone handed out full size candy bars instead of the snack size ones now. And if we liked what one house was handing out we would go back two or three more times. Of course we started earlier in the afternoon after school and stayed out until 9:00 or 9:30PM at night. Now of course there are designated times you can go out and trick or treat. I also enjoyed taking Ben out when he was young. One year he was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!!!

We're going out with friends, who live in a neighborhood just a mile or two from us. We're ordering pizza, and then doing the usual. The adults usually bring some sort of adult beverage along, just to make things interesting!
Jim, William is a perfect little pumpkin, red hair and all!

I'm glad you posted this Leo. I didn't want to tell my nephew and his wife that I had NO idea who that was supposed to be.

Wolverine was one of the greats...the mystery surrounding his past has now been cleared up and it's diluted the character somewhat but he's almost invunerable, has a unbreakable metal skeleton and he has huge metal claws.
If I was a kid at Halloween, I'd wanna be Wolverine!
