Thanks Dave.  Do you know how big the download was?  I'm on a limited download agreement here and I must be close to my limit.   daveathall I dont know Adrian, but there is another download that I used before buying W7, it assesed my computer to see if it could handle Windows 7, I typed "windows 7" in google and then went to the main windows website shop.
