Hoverfly

There are over 3000 varieties of hoverflies, this is just one of them.  They feed on pollen and nectar and their grubs feed on small bugs and mites that could harm crops.  All in all they are a very beneficial insect to have around.  Many people mistake them for bees and quite a few hoverflies do mimic bees.
