glutton for punishment ..................

Most folks have a few kids I have 6. Most have 1 dog I have 5   right now they are all asleep   Trouble is......................so is the wife    and that's the way it goes!
Carolina

I understand completely! Both kiddos are in bed, and hubby went to bed the same time.

I'm here watching TV, drinking a diet Dr Pepper, and surfing AJ's.

Are you complaining or bragging?

Sounds like tranquility (with the kids and dogs all asleep).

Al and I just got home. We went out to dinner tonight, something we rarely do. We were just paying our bill after dinner when we both started yawning. It was 9:00 o'clock. Geez...there was a time when we just started thinking about GOING out at 9:00 p.m. and now we're home, Al is crashed on the couch and I'm in my jammies and will be in bed in 10 min.

OK - meet me at the corner. You bring the corndogs, I'll bring the Godiva!
Lisa

You know what?  These days, I look forward to those evenings when I'm the only one awake.  It's usually a rare night Dave hasn't been asleep in his chair since before dinnertime.... so once the last kid is asleep, it's just you guys and me, baby!

Erm... if he's NOT asleep, then I pretend I am....
Carolina

Well, at least I'm not alone, then.

Reeeaally regretting that I ate those Doritos.

Actually, that's not even true.  If he's awake, he's in the basement!

Sometimes when Aadil works late and it's just Sadie and I, I wake her up so I have company, lol. Of course, she comes to cuddle then we both fall asleep, but at least I'm not alone!

I think its a sign

Morn' all, usually I'm the one awake at nite because Pam works hard all week and is usually in bed early. So I have plenty of alone time to play on the computer!!!

And Nancy, I agree when we were young we started to think about what we were going to do for the evening at about 9PM. It's funny but I thought I wouldn't be like my parents who were going to bed between 9 and 10 PM. But look at us now.....

Opps I think I hit the report button instead of the quote button.   The wife will not let me play in the basement.  Now the loo.

What bunch of old fogies I'm hangin' with.  C'mon people, where's your get up and go.  Don't tell me it got up and left.

You guys could never keep our schedule.  Between theater (two subscriptions), opera (1 and 1/2 subscriptions), symphonies and concerts with our Washington Performing Arts Society subscription, plus my teaching once a week in the fall semester, and my weekly poker game, we are hardly ever home.
We get to bed after the 11:00 PM news and I get up at 6:10 AM to be in the office by 8:00 AM.  We had to give up our subscrition to the Washington National Symphony because we couldn't fit the concerts into our schedule.

And the worst part is - I'm older than all of you.  Good grief.  You are the biggest bunch of wimps I know.

Have some of this   to keep you going.

Ed, I agree, I have become a lightweight but in my defense if I have something to do or somewhere to go I can stay up late and still get up early. Now try getting up very early everyday say 4:30AM and then will see how late you stay up!!!
What is that snoring I hear.....  LOL!!!
