Creepy crawlies

We have just had two weeks of dust storms, it's been too lousy to take bird pictures so I resorted to bugs.  Fortunately there are lots of them around and they allow you to get very close.

The smallest bee I've seen.  It was about 1/8" or 3.2mm long.  I'm told the small creature on the right is a crab spider and it's feeling for vibrations.

A firebug

This preying mantis was on a bush waiting for a juicy insect to pass by.  I almost didn't see it as it's so well camouflaged.

This is a grass jewel.  These are no bigger than 1/4" or 6.4mm.
