Ceramics

The use of the cermic bezel intrugues me..

Right now let me say that I admire the GMT II, but am not yet a fan.

I would like to see a less "in our face" bezel insert for the Sub....narrower so the emphasis is more on the dial rather than the bezel.

I think the Sub could be upgraded to be a bit more sleek, less blocky than the GMT and brought into the 21st century...

Is this to much to ask ??

I love it the way it is but maybe I'm old fashioned.
Tardis

I have not yet seen one here.

From the photo's, it looks pretty impressive.

I would think any changes they make to the Submariner would be along the same lines.

Just hope that the SD is left alone, or better still, discontinued, which would mean it would evaulute $ $

Why don't you jump into your Tardis, hop into the future and find out.

I already did but I can't interfere with, or return and disclose any information about future events.

Why do you think I now own one?

Well that's not much good is it.

I'm not a fan of the larger bezel but I might change my mind if I had one.

Regarding ceramic, my experience has been that it's more fragile and subject to chipping and breakage. However this might not be the case with the Rolex bezel, especially the way most owners take care of them.

As an aside, I have read somewhere that Rolex will not be doing the Pepsi bezel in ceramic due to manufacturing problems reproducing the color. Evidently this is the only color that's giving them trouble but knowing Rolex, it they want this color bad enough they'll find a way. :-)

Rado have been using ceramics for a few years now and I haven't heard of them chipping or breaking. Maybe people are too over cautious when it comes to new techniques.
