Artists

If you could be an artist which medium(s) would you choose???

I would enjoy designing landscapes for people's gardens, city parks, arboretums and botanical gardens. I also enjoy working with ceramics!!!

Pencil drawing - copying real life images onto paper.  Have you seen some of those pencil drawings that look just like a black and white photograph?  Wow.  I'd love to do that!

Photography, I'd like to take pictures like Ansel Adams.

It's a little obvious but Ansel Adams is my fave photographer.

My other is David Lachapelle...I don't honestly think you could get further away from AA.

I stick to what I know e.g nature.  I don't think I have a natural eye, like Gerard, Martin, Chip, James and Larry etc.  If I had to do a portrait or landscape shot, it would probably look mundane.

I have one of his pictures in my study back in the ancestral home.  It's not an original of course but an authorised reproduction.

Here's a link to the print I have My print

Oh yeah. My medium?

It has to be film...from the inky blacks of film noir to the stark mono of Bergman, the lush richness of Ridley Scott, the searing colours of Yimou Zhang, the electric retina frying kinetics of Wong Kar Wai, the fun and froth of Jeunet and the visual poetry of Kubrick...I drown in cinema.

I'd love to be the writer/director autuer. I love image and I love language.

Now somebody give me 30 million dollars!

Charcoal or pencil were my favourite when I used to draw, loved making cartoons thought about art college, but went onto other things.

Took me a while to find my camera.... but here is a poster-size pencil drawing I did in college.  It's one of only a few I saved over the years. I regret not keeping all of them through all of our moves.

You might wanna play around with that a bit. How cool would it be to have a pencil sketch of the outside of your beautiful house, framed and hanging on the INSIDE of your house!!!
Lion

Lisa, you could also do portraits of your children.....
