At the restaurant on Sunday, Both Martin and I were dismayed that the Sirloin of beef was not on the menu.
We both opted for Hare and bacon pie as we had never sampled hare.
It was stunning, meaty, gamey and quite rich, a lot darker and less boney than rabbit.
It was served with a cumberland style game sauce and plenty of gorgeous roasted veg.
Old skinnyribs left some of his whilst Porker76 wolfed the lot.
The ladies opted for the much more reserved roasted lamb.
I have to add the hot fudge chocolate brownie I had for dessert was incredible. I have seen Claire fight to the death for less...one taste she started yelling "SPPPPPAAAAAARRRRTTTTTTAAAAAAA".
For a fat bloke I'm nimble...I was off with my pudding!!!!!
