Sorry it sometimes takes a while for me to register new arrivals.  I've been out and can't do it until I get back home.

Im soooo broke right now with 2 houses.....one in AZ and still trying to
get rid of texas house.
I will try and add "April the bunny" as avatar
As far as hating Texas the lady across the street was transfered here
by HP in the Compaq merger and she hates Houston/Texas as much as me but she cant get back to Northern CA with the economy like it is.
Husband was let go and now he was a teacher and may get fired since the
school dis is broke now....like every place else.
The other neighbor, she is from Houston and loves it and he is from N.M.
and hates it and has told her if hey dont go back he will divorce.
I guess Houston/Texas brings the worse out in people and the only ones
that like it are from here and have not traveled very much.

Meh, my sister just moved to The Woodlands from Baton Rouge.  She LOVES it there.  Then again, it's not exactly Houston...

Good to see you posting, Greg!

I WANTED to move there......but nooooo wife wanted to be close to daughter ...which is a bad thing after 2 years.....they drive me nuts.
I would have been happy in The Woodlands its far enough away from Houston.
This katy house was /is in the middle of what use to be a rice field I think.
Its so flat that the highest point is the mound of dirt in my back yard for
40 miles....and I use to think the mountains my house faced in Phoenix were little at 2300/2700 ft.

It's about 1.5 to 2 hours drive I think.
You should go visit your brother, then we'll meet up there!!

If you live on the north in of PHX the trip up the big hill only take 80-90 mins....way down where I live is closer to 2 hours.
You need a v-6 or v-8/ inline 6 etc .....4 bangers have a hard time
getting up that incline or overheat in the summer.
