I don't think so......99% of all the kids my kids went to school with are on there. I thought I'd seen the last of them when the kids grew up and moved out. NOT!

I'm afraid to join.  I don't want to be inundated with invitations to be someone's friend that I didn't want to be friends with 40 years ago.  And the potential for spam is enough to keep me away from it.

It's not too bad as long as you don't join any of the silly applications that need access to your information and friends information.

When someone sends you a friend request Ed, you have the option to either accept or ignore it. I have ignored a certain person's request twice. Then they sent me a PM and I ignored that too

You can also choose to be invisible so no one can see that you're a member except your friends. This way you won't worry about the requests.

Why do you keep refusing my requests?

Let me guess - one of the little old ladies on your route? You're not going to get any meatballs acting like that!

No way I would ever refuse one of those ladies requests. I know what's good for me
