These occur around the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia and around Bahrain. They hunt in large flocks, thousands strong and I've seen birds in a line about 4 kilometers long and they were at least three abreast. Most of the time they fly just above the surface of the water grabbing fish as they go along. At the end they will make a huge mob of birds. The bird in the picture is a youngster who had just landed in front of me.

Doesn't look like he would have big enough wings to support such a large bird... _________________ - Larry

He's got them folder there, they are very large when outstretched. This one has partially stretched wings.
