Well...
I have never been a big fan of Panerai watches. There. I said it! LOL.
That does not mean that I do not appreciate it for what it is, cause I do. I just was never sure if it is the watch for ME.

Sam has been kind enough to allow me to borrow his for a while, and I must say that while I am STILL not 100% sold on whether it is the watch for me or not, I do like it a LOT more than I did before I got to spend some time with one.

Here is a pic of Sam's 111.

When you can borrow Sam's, there's no need to buy one Chip.

What a beauty, Sam and a great pic as always, Chip. I would love to get a 111, or better yet, the all blac Radiomir. But, they just don't look right on my wrist.

I had a PAM111 but got tired of it. I just kept putting new straps on it.

I thought this to be so as well but....... I've tried on a 1950 (not for sale) and that one is even bigger but it didn't look out of place on my wrist. And my wrists are not big. It just looks great! But alas, in my country it has surpassed Rolex in terms of fakes so they are not what you call rare :-(

I love the 111. If I ever decide to buy a Panerai, that'd be the one. I've tried on a Rad, but I wasn't crazy about it looked on my wrist.

I bought a 111 because I like the very simple uncluttered sandwich dial, surprised myself because I have owned a PAM 24 and 25 before and thought I would again.

I had the 24 and 25 (not at the same time) but never got over selling them, I saw a photo of a 111 and thought it was stunning, the polished SS made it blingy enough without going over the top, I dont seem to like the logo, and I like to see something moving on a watch, so the 000 was out (no second hand and the logo) the 111 was simple enough for me with all the boxes ticked.
