This afternoon I decided to try my luck in the reed beds near my home.  I got bitten to death again by the mossies but managed to photograph a chiffchaff feeding on the aphids in the reeds.  I put this picture on the Bird Forum for confirmation and after a lengthy debate, the majority now say not willow warbler but chiffchaff.

Very nice, uncle! How did you learn all the names of these birds? I'm amazed!

I have some good guide books.  This one was a bit tricky as I thought it was a chiffchaff at first.  I asked advise on the bird forum I'm a member of and they put me right.  In fact I'm not as expert as some people.

Edit

It seems I was right all along...................that must be a first.

Link to debate, if your interested
